By using our website (vinylworks.co) or engaging our services, you accept this Privacy Policy in full. Continued use after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
What We Collect
We collect information you voluntarily provide, including your name, phone number, email address, vehicle details relevant to your service, and payment information (processed by a PCI-DSS compliant provider). When you visit our website, we also automatically collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and device information via cookies and similar technologies. Aggregated or anonymized data that cannot identify you may be used or shared for any business purpose without restriction.
How We Use It
We use your information to respond to inquiries and prepare quotes, book and deliver services, process payments, maintain required financial records, send service updates and promotional communications (with your consent per CASL), conduct internal analytics and marketing, prevent fraud, and comply with applicable Canadian law. Where you have an existing business relationship with Vinyl Works within the preceding two years, we may rely on implied consent under CASL to send commercial electronic messages. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any message or by contacting us — we will process your request within 10 business days as required by CASL.
Retention
We retain client service records for a minimum of 7 years as required by the Income Tax Act (Canada), website inquiries for up to 3 years, and marketing lists until consent is withdrawn. Records relevant to legal matters are kept as long as necessary to resolve them. We may retain information longer where required for legitimate business purposes or legal defence, to the extent permitted by law.
Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we are not liable for breaches caused by events beyond our reasonable control. Where a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and the applicable Privacy Commissioner as required by PIPEDA and BC PIPA.

Under BC PIPA and PIPEDA, you may submit a written request to our Privacy Officer to access personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information, or withdraw consent subject to legal or contractual restrictions. We respond within 30 business days. A reasonable fee may apply. We may decline requests where permitted by law. Project Photos
We may photograph completed projects for quality assurance and marketing. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vinyl Works is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from our handling of personal information, including unauthorized third-party access. Our total liability for any privacy-related claim is capped at the amount paid to Vinyl Works in the 12 months preceding the event. This Policy is governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, and any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in BC courts.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting to vinylworks.co with a revised effective date. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
